Vineyards in South Africa
South Africa has cultivated vines on its soil, principally in the south west close to Cape Town between sea and mountain.
There are more than 100,000 hectares of vines and its climate is favoured to the development of a number of different wine styles. Additionally the new generation of vine growers know very well how to get the most out of their soils, South Africa has come to the top of the quality wine world in recent years. It is now the 7th largest producer of wine in the world.
As a first time diversion outside France, Boursot's is especially proud to be listing a small but prestigious selection of high quality wines from smaller vineyards around the Western Cape that show off some of the delightful pure flavours that can be found among the hand-made wines of this region. Each of our chosen wines is excellent in its own way and we intend that this selection will grow with time.
