Our Selection of Rosé Wines
We have a small but interesting choice of rosé or pink wines. Contrary to popular opinion, colour is not everything in rosé.
To start, as a simple quaffing wine our Petit Pont Réserve Rosé is dry and refreshing and offers super value for money. For a Provence rosé that is fresh, light, dry and fruity, then look no further than our Château de Pourcieux which has been enjoyed by so many of our customers over recent years and we believe it to be the best of its type and price.
For a surprise, you could try the Syrah Rosé from Domaine Morin-Langaran who supply our very successful Picpoul de Pinet. Made from Syrah, the wine is slightly darker in colour but has a paradoxical freshness and fruitiness, and is of course dry. Of a finer style (it used to be decribed as the world's best rosé!) is our refreshing but fruity Tavel Rosé from Domaine Maby - perhaps best served with fish, cheeses or most summer foods.
The pink sparkling wines and champagnes are all classics – dry and fresh. Especially noteworthy in our view is the pale pink sparkling Crémant de Bordeaux from Château de Fontenille in the Entre Deux Mers region of southern Bordeaux. Put simply, it is outstanding.
