GlenWood is located In the Robertsvlei Valley, close to the village of Franschhoek in the Western Cape.

The valley was first proclaimed in the early 1800’s whereafter it was farmed with multiple crops including grapes which were delivered to the local Co-operative for vinification. It was subdivided in 1984 when GlenWood was established on 52ha (128 acres). The farm is surrounded by magnificent indigenous “fynbos”, being part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, and is frequented by a diversity of fauna including duiker, grysbok, caracal, baboons, birdlife and, occasionally, leopard. In addition to its mainstream wine production, GlenWood now also produces small quantities of proteas, including the Blushing Bride, known as The Pride of Franschhoek, which is endemic to the Robertsvlei Valley.

GlenWood has always been passionate about preserving this natural environment through the use of sustainable farming and cellar practices and has been awarded the coveted WWF Conservation Champion status.
