Vineyards in Bourgogne
Domaines de Bourgogne
The Pinot Noir for the reds and the Chardonnay for the whites are grown on argilo calcareous soils. The Gamay, Aligoté, Pinot Gris, César, Sacy and the Sauvignon also make up the diverse pallet of the Burgundy vineyard. The Burgundy wine growing area is fragmented with its various different soils which each brings a different flavour. It is for this reason that the “climats” have been developed to show off their individual terroirs. This sheer variety makes it quite difficult to buy good reliable Burgundy at a sensible price. We have been involved in this area for a very long time and are Burgundy specialists and so we can help point you in the right direction without paying the earth.
